Who We Are
LyQuala Buford
Founder & CEO
LyQuala Buford attended school in Peoria, Illinois before moving back to Mississippi. She worked in a school system, and then started pursuing a career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs. In 1975-1995, she worked as the Assistant to the Executive Director, then became the Director undertaking such programs as the Housing Authority and Residents' Initiative. In 1999, she saw the need to get involved with Senior Service Programs. Therefore, established and owned a Transportation Service for the elderly. She also ventured in a Durable Medical Equipment Business. In 2003, she opened a Personal Care Service for Seniors and Disabled, called Co-Med Health Care Services, currently operating for the past 14 years in Tennessee, and Mississippi. She assisted in founding Co-Med Adult Day Care Center, and serves as the Board Member.

Rickey Culberson
Regional Manager
Rickey Culberson was the Operations Director at Co-Med Adult Day Care Center before he became the company's Regional Manager. He has a background in electrical maintenance, and HVAC maintenance. A graduate of Louisville High School. He began his work career at the Georgia Pacific Corporation in Louisville, Mississippi. He was directly involved in the manufacturing process of wood products over thirty-five years. He supervised a production group, which gave him a deep sense of sympathy and compassion for others. He pursued training in Safety from Georgia Tech. He implemented his OSHA safety training at the Louisville site, where he was awarded a Safety Person of the Year Award. After years of involvement in Health and Safety, improving the quality of life for others has become a passion and goal.

Patricia Buckley
Office Manager, Tennessee
I am an active team member of the Co-Med organization since 2006. During my employment of sixteen years, I have realized that my responsibilities will often reach far beyond the description of office manager. It is because working in the health care industry can require the sensitivity to take on various roles for various people such as; that of companion, counselor, active listener, problem solver, etc. Nevertheless, this is never a burden to me but instead, a privilege. My goals for this organization, staff, and its members include expanding our brand, providing improved care services, and maintaining a pleasant workplace environment for all.

Ardin L. Carpenter
HR/Payroll Specialist, CNA and CPR Instructor
Hello, my name is Ardin L. Carpenter. I have been a team member of Co-Med Health Care Services since 2012. I support the service community's vulnerable population of the elderly and disabled in the capacity of HR/Payroll Specialist, CNA & as a CPR Instructor. My educational journey has led me to obtain an Associate's Degree in Medical Billing/Coding, Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, with a concentration in Case Management, and a Master's Degree in Health Administration, with a concentration in Gerontology. I am very appreciative of working under the leadership of Mrs. LyQuala Buford because she has allowed me the opportunity to utilize my education and skills to further assist the elderly and disabled participants with strategically designed approaches for their individual needs. My goals for our organization, members and coworkers are inclusive of, but not limited to 1) expanding our support network while continuing to work as a cohesive unit, 2) continuing to build upon and refresh care skill sets, and 3) to personally recognize every reward in every challenge while passing that positivity on throughout every organizational contact.
